The First Lesson of School
A new term means a new beginning! The annual 'The First Lesson of School' arrived as scheduled and started on time! This year's 'The First Lesson of School’, a large-scale public welfare program co-sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the China Media Group and the Ministry of Education, began broadcasting at 8 P.M. on 1st September. The Junior High School Division of the east campus organized all students to watch 'The First Lesson of School' on time, with some students watching it at school, while others at home.
To be specific, the theme of this year's 'First Lesson of School' is 'Lovely China'. To be concrete, by means of the 'multi-place reality classroom' model, from the oracle-bone pit in Yin Ruins to the habitats of snow leopards in Qinghai, from the cross-sea bridge to the far side of the moon where Chang 'e-6 landed, the vivid scenes depicted the magnificent pictures of Chinese modernization construction, presenting a cultural feast that combines history and modernity, tradition and innovation for teenagers.
Furthermore, what is impressive is the historical accumulation, the magnificent rivers and mountains, the rapid development and changes in addition to the unremitting struggle. Today, in lovely China, there is active creation everywhere and rapid progress everywhere.
In a nutshell, 'The First Lesson of School' heralds a new beginning and a new hope as well. Also, watching 'The First Lesson of School' has become a regular activity in the new semester of our school. By attentively watching 'The First Lesson of School', students can not only broaden their horizons, infiltrate their hearts, and truly feel the strength of the motherland, but also enhance their cultural self-confidence, boost their national pride, identify and inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, which aroused students' patriotic enthusiasm and made them determined to set up lofty ideals and contribute their own strength to the national rejuvenation.
